Ruth Kendall - Taking Your Crown

Ruth Kendall is a Brooklyn-based R&B, gospel, and pop singer-songwriter and creative artist whose music is rooted in her faith and desire to use her gifts to glorify God, encourage others, and create meaningful connections. Through songwriting and vocal performance, Ruth seeks to create music that speaks to the heart, reflects the hope found in Christ, and reminds listeners of God's presence through every season of life.

Ruth has written and released three original songs and continues to develop her artistry through songwriting, vocal performance, and creative interpretations of contemporary music. Her musical journey has included performances at notable New York City venues and cultural institutions, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Carnegie Hall, where she has been recognized as a Top 10 contestant.

Beyond the stage, Ruth is passionate about using music to serve her community and nurture creativity in others. Through her community work with Friends of Saratoga Park in Bed-Stuy, she developed and led a music program for children ages 4–12, facilitated music discussions, and distributed music journals to encourage young people to explore their creativity and express themselves through writing. Whether performing, writing, or working with young people, Ruth hopes to use her God-given gifts to inspire others, cultivate connection, and make Christ's love known through music and service.
